This is how a day as a logistics employee specialising in books & media at our Szczecin site looks:
Every logistics employee's day begins on the team leader island, which reveals the exact area for which you have been assigned in the work shift. This keeps the work varied and helps assign workers where they are actually needed.

Goods receiving
Incoming parcels are opened carefully, unnecessary packaging material is removed and the attached delivery note is scanned. So every customer can electronically track when their sent items have arrived.

Quality control
Each item is carefully checked to ensure the quality by our trained employees, scanned and saved in the system. The quality of each article is assessed and classified using a corresponding scale so that customers can see the condition of the article upon resale.

Problem reviewing
Our most experienced and most knowledgeable employees carry out an additional quality control measures on articles whose checking was problematic during the first stage of assessment.

Returns
Returns that are not picked up or delivered by customers are processed here. The articles are added to the database and sent to the logistics centre in Leipzig.

Repair
Our logistics centre is equipped with high-quality disc repair machines that are operated by qualified personnel.

Change
In the case of damaged disc sleeves, these are exchanged for new ones.

Jump
This team is responsible for the movement of goods across the entire warehouse - from the support with the initial processing, through the dispatch preparations to the loading and unloading of transport vehicles.
