2004 It all started with a book
By chance, the idea of reselling used books online and thus extending the life cycle of the products arises.

2006 momox.de starts
We now start buying CDs and DVDs, books will follow later. All items are resold on online marketplaces such as eBay.

2007 The first own online shop ...
... is called medimops.de. Here we begin to offer the previously purchased media articles such as books, DVDs and CDs for sale.

2010 We are bursting at the seams
We need storage space so promptly move to Neuenhagen near Berlin, where we open our first logistics centre.

2011 Hello Leipzig!
We are growing in Europe too, so we purchase another logistics centre. Since then, the former source area has housed more than 12 million of our books and media articles.

2014 We love fashion!
Especially second hand! ubup.com offers an assortment of more than one million items full of high-quality clothes, shoes and accessories.

2015 Sell even faster ...
... customers can now use our momox app. Simply scan the item and receive a fixed price. Super easy!

2017 We keep growing and growing
We welcome our 1000th employee. Today we employ more than 1,900 people. It’s madness!

2020 More Space, More Possibilities
Our products need room to continue growing. That's why we're expanding our warehouse in Leipzig by 45,000 square meters.

2021 ubup becomes momox fashion
With this move, we're bringing our brands closer together and creating an even better shopping experience for our customers. Additionally, we're also expanding our logistics site in Stettin.

2022 momox conquers Europe
We now purchase books and media in Italy and Spain as well. Another significant step toward internationalization.

2023 Fashion goes France
Our fashion division is also expanding. Customers can now shop for Fashion & Accessories in our dedicated store in France.

2024 20 years of momox
For two decades, we have been buying and selling second hand products. Together with over 45 million customers, we have already given more than 400 million items a new life.

We give used products a new home.

Our history
