Employees on the IT help desk are responsible for the smooth running of the IT systems and act as the first point of contact for technical problems. Ideally, any problems that arise are resolved by the IT Helpdesk using error diagnostics. In addition, the installation of new workstations, regular maintenance of technical work equipment and technical training for employees are part of the IT help desk's area of responsibility.

Strong communication skills and team spirit are just as important, as IT Helpdesk employees are in constant communication with colleagues.
