Our fashion paradise is located in Neuenhagen near Berlin! Around 150 employees are responsible for the logistic processing connected with the buying and selling of fashion items (clothes, shoes, bags, etc.). Each month, we receive more than 100,000 fashion products here that we purchase via momox.de. True to our motto “We give used products a new home”, we resell these products via our second-hand shop ubup.com, after having performed a thorough quality control.

We are always on the move! In e-commerce the situation with orders can change rapidly. Marketing measures or even the weather can have a great impact on the selling and buying behavior of customers. On the one hand, this requires a high degree of flexibility; on the other hand, it frequently makes the processes – and everyday work – exciting.
The work processes that are connected to the purchasing and sale of fashion items can be divided into two large divisions: the inbound division is responsible for handling incoming items, whereas the outbound division deals with the processing of sold second-hand items.
The first step is the receiving division, where the goods are received. Here we carefully open the packages that we receive every day and prepare them for checking. In the checking division it is all about having an eye for detail, since this is where our quality control takes place. Each item is viewed individually by our employees. They evaluate the item’s condition and enter the data and other details into the system. The item color is automatically recognized by our color-recognition system.
In the photo division each item is photographed for its future online presence at ubup.com. Through our use of mannequins, suitable lighting and professional camera equipment, the customer gets a realistic impression of the items.
On branded products our employees check that the brand is genuine, thus preventing the purchase of counterfeit products.
In the pack-to-stock division the checked items are prepared for stocking. Each fashion item is packed in order to protect it from becoming dirty and dusty on the shelves.
During the stocking process, our employees enter the products into the giant shelving system. The exact position of each stocked item is recorded by scanner – and can therefore be quickly located at all times.
In the picking process a good sense of orientation is an absolute must. Here the products ordered by the customer are gathered from the shelving systems. For this purpose, mobile phones are used that indicate to the picker the precise location of the relevant item. The ordered products are then transported to the packing division, where they are sorted, packed, franked and shipped to the customers.
Trainer for the Quality Division
Specially trained quality assurance employees constantly review the work processes connected to purchasing and sales so that we will always be able to meet our customers’ quality demands. New employees are instructed by our training team. The trainers are also responsible for training our other employees.
